Hi!
I’m TIA, an artist from Tampere making melodic trap and dark pop. On June 5th, I’m releasing my newest single, “TÄHTI,” and celebrating it with a release event organized together with the amazing people at Scope Tampere.
I first came across Scope through the Indie Tampere event, and it was amazing to discover a community creating opportunities specifically for smaller, emerging, and ambitious artists in Tampere to showcase their art to a wider audience.
Where did the release party idea come from?
When we started planning the release of TÄHTI, one idea quickly rose above all the others: the song demanded its own release party.
My manager and I were listening to TÄHTI through the speakers of a Toyota on our way to visit my producer, Aitio, when we started talking about dreams, ambitions, and all kinds of ideas related to my artist journey and the message behind the song.
We started connecting the dots. Summer was just around the corner, and TÄHTI felt like the perfect song to kick it off. A club night built around the release seemed like the perfect match.
So we got to work. June 5th, the first weekend of June, became the release date, and from that moment we had only about six weeks to make everything happen.
Whenever I get excited about an idea, it’s incredibly difficult for me to let it go and that’s exactly what happened here. I joined Scope, and we immediately started looking for a venue and making arrangements for where the event could take place.

One of the most important parts of this project has been the collaboration with Scope.
Without this community, the project simply would not have come together within this timeline. Finding people who genuinely got excited about my idea and wanted to help make it real gave me confidence in my own vision.

My vision
I have a very clear vision of my artist career: what it looks like, what it sounds like, and what I want it to become.
I can already see myself performing on big stages, making music professionally for myself and for other artists, attending songwriting camps, and creating music videos.
I’ve always dreamed of being a singer, and I’m not giving up on that dream anytime soon. And if I’m allowed to compliment myself for a moment, I’m incredibly persistent. I’ve achieved so much already, and I’ve learned and grown more than I ever imagined.
TÄHTI
TÄHTI is about being put down by others, being underestimated, or being discouraged from pursuing your dreams and then doing it anyway!
Listeners can relate the song to any dream or goal they have. It could be getting into school, expressing your personal style, running your first race, or pursuing any ambition that other people or even you yourself haven’t fully believed in.
For me, the song is about my music career and the times when people and record labels didn’t believe in me.
Scope believed in me, and now people will get to hear the potential of this new song as I “pass everyone in the fast lane.”
The message of the song is simple:
“You’re a STAR.”
